I said it before and I will say it again...

NEVER, EVER trust a little boy quietly playing in his room.

Tornado Aiden strikes again. He threw all his books, puzzles, toys and blocks on the floor and then opened up his drawers and emptied them (after I just neatly folded and organized everything 2 days ago). I don't know why I bother cleaning his room up at all, moments later it always looks like this.

Messy play!

I try to give Aiden some messy play time a couple times a week. I like to give him a few different textures to play with - it is really good for him for many reasons, but mostly, it is counteracting the neat-freakiness that his Daddy seems to have ;) I can't wait until summer when we can do messy play outside! Until then, I put him in his high chair and let him play for a while and then it is straight to the bathtub for Aiden! He really enjoys it, and enjoys the bath afterwards even more...

Yesterday we played with cars in fruit puree "mud" with graham crackers "rocks" for the cars to drive over. He ate several of the graham cracker pieces dipped in puree, so we got the extra bonus of mixing food textures, too, since that is a problem area for him.

 

When we were done the cars went into the bathtub with him, too :)

Beep Beep

Aiden has been into his cars lately. He makes beep beep, vroom vroom, and choo choo sounds. This morning he went into his room and came out with 2 little cars (and no pants on) and played with them on the freezing cold tile floor in the kitchen. Hey, whatever makes him happy :)

 

He is so darn cute in the mornings, it is his happy time.

They have a love-hate relationship...

When they are getting along and playing together, it is really cute. But, sadly most of the time, Sophie is giving dirty looks and quietly growling at Aiden and he is trying to pinch her or push her off my lap, the couch, the bed - whatever she is on that he thinks are his. In fact, when he is in a really bad mood, he screams if I so much as pet Sophie. Here is a cute video of them getting along :)
