A year ago today we were sitting in a specialist's office in Sacramento. I was barely 5 months pregnant and a doctor was explaining to us that my water had broken and there was no amniotic fluid left around the baby.
He was explaining to us all the horrible things that would probably happen next. He told us to think about terminating the pregnancy.
When this happens, the story doesn't usually end well.
We know how lucky we are, we are the exception.
And our story ended with this...
We love our little Aiden.

I'm sitting here tearing up. What a great post. It just reminds us all to be optimistic no matter what. Optimism can make miracles.
